The Nigerian Law School has announced the commencement of applications for admission into the Bar Part II Course for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, Ms. Aderonke Osho, and shared via the Council of Legal Education’s official X handle on Tuesday, the application portal will open on Monday, September 11, 2025, and close on Friday, October 31, 2025.
The new academic session is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 2, 2026, simultaneously at the Law School’s headquarters in Abuja and its campuses in Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yenagoa, Yola, and Port Harcourt.
The Council stated that only graduates of Nigerian universities and foreign-trained law graduates who have completed and passed the Bar Course at the Nigerian Law School are eligible to apply. Applicants are expected to obtain detailed instructions from the Law School’s official website.
The school cautioned that only candidates whose details have been forwarded to it by their universities’ registrars will be considered eligible. Prospective applicants were advised to confirm their eligibility with their respective institutions before paying the non-refundable application fee.
Completed application forms and references must be downloaded, filled, and returned through the applicant’s Dean of Law to the Nigerian Law School on or before October 31, 2025.
For candidates seeking re-admission or clearance from referred cases, the school directed them to use the “re-admission” section of the portal and attach relevant approval or clearance letters before submitting their documents to the Secretary of the Council.
The Law School stressed that late applications will not be entertained and urged applicants to retain their application numbers, which will be required for checking admission status.
