Brasília, September 2025 — Nigeria and Brazil have strengthened bilateral ties with the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) spanning key sectors including aviation, trade, science and technology, and diplomacy.
The agreements were concluded during a high-level state visit by Nigerian officials to Brasília, where both countries reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation.
According to government sources, the MoUs are aimed at boosting economic exchange, expanding scientific collaboration, enhancing diplomatic engagement, and improving air connectivity between the two nations.
Officials from both sides described the move as a major step toward revitalising Nigeria–Brazil relations, with expectations that the agreements will open new opportunities for trade, innovation, and people-to-people exchange.
The visit also featured discussions on regional security, investment partnerships, and cultural diplomacy, underscoring the growing importance of South-South cooperation.
