The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has appealed to residents of Osun State to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Commission’s spokesperson in Osun, Musa Olurode, disclosed that a total of 360,794 PVCs remain uncollected across the state.
“INEC in Osun is using this medium to inform the general public that the ongoing voter registration exercise provides yet another opportunity for people yet to collect their PVCs to do so,” Olurode said.
He explained that the unclaimed cards are available for collection at all 30 INEC local government offices and the Area office in Modakeke, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
Olurode, speaking on behalf of the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, also urged eligible residents who have not registered before to do so, while cautioning against multiple registrations.
INEC stressed that timely collection of PVCs was crucial to ensuring that citizens exercise their voting rights in forthcoming elections.
