Tragedy struck on the Monday, November 1, 2021 when a 21-storey building along Gerrard road, Ikoyi suddenly collapsed with site workers, and vendors trapped in the rubbles.

At the time of this report, only 15 people were brought out alive by the instituted rescue team of the Lagos State Government. Sadly, no fewer than 42 people were confirmed dead after their bodies were escavated from the ill-fated palatial edifice. One of the dead persons from the buidling is Femi Osibona, owner of the building, a seasoned Real Estate Developer and CEO, Fourscores Homes.

While the Lagos State Government had declared a 3-day mourning in honour of the dead victims, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun paid a condolence visit to the father of Femi Osibona at Ikenne (Ogun State), the deceased country home.
