The high-flying Lagos-based side, coached by Nurudeen Aweroro, head into the midweek tie buoyed by a hard-fought 1-0 win over Wikki Tourists in the quarter-finals of the President Federation Cup—a victory that sealed their place in the semi-finals of Nigeria’s oldest club competition.
Nicknamed “The Oga Boys,” Ikorodu City have enjoyed a strong run of form lately, recording three wins, one draw, and just one defeat in their last five outings. With momentum on their side, the team will be aiming to secure all three points against Bayelsa United as they continue their push to qualify for continental football for the first time in their history.
