Ikeja Electric Plc has announced new prices for prepaid meters under its Meter Asset Provider (MAP) scheme, with the updated rates taking effect from August 6, 2025.
The revised prices, which cover both single-phase and three-phase meters, were disclosed via the company’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday. The rates are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) and vary depending on the meter provider.
According to the statement, MBH Power Ltd’s single-phase meter now costs ₦135,987.50, while the three-phase meter is ₦226,825.00. Turbo Energy Ltd offers its single-phase meter for ₦145,608.75, and the three-phase for ₦236,903.13.
For Aries Electric Ltd, the single-phase meter is priced at ₦145,125.00, and the three-phase at ₦258,000.00. Mojec Asset Management Company Ltd’s meters are ₦135,718.75 (single-phase) and ₦226,825.00 (three-phase).
Other providers include:
- Paktim Metering Nig. Ltd: ₦137,600.00 (single-phase), ₦233,275.00 (three-phase)
- Holley Metering Ltd: ₦133,854.03 (single-phase), ₦219,497.09 (three-phase)
- CIG Metering Assets Nigeria Ltd: ₦150,500.00 (single-phase)
- New Hampshire Capital Ltd: ₦133,300.00 (single-phase), ₦231,125.00 (three-phase)
Ikeja Electric noted that these prices are “valid subject to meter availability,” and reflect the most recent approved rates for meter providers under the MAP framework.
The company emphasized that the update is part of its commitment to transparency and to ensuring customers are well-informed about current meter procurement costs.
The announcement comes amid broader industry efforts to improve electricity metering and reduce estimated billing for Nigerian consumers.
