The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, met with the executive members of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) on Tuesday, 5th August, 2025.
The chairman of the union showered accolades on Hon. Moyosore for the visible changes and transformative direction that are synonymous with his administration. He describes the LCDA chairman’s leadership as a breath of fresh air.
The NULGE Chairman however highlighted key welfare concerns of the union and appealed for the Council Chairman’s intervention and support in addressing them.
In his response, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the union members for their warm reception and prayers. He reflected on his personal journey: “I am a product of struggle; I have been in various struggle groups myself,” and assured the union of his understanding and empathy.
He affirmed that the demands presented by NULGE are “justified”, and promised to take necessary actions that will not only address their issues but uplift the welfare of every staff member in the council.
The Council Chairman also hinted at the pivotal role of Heads of Departments in maintaining a harmonious and productive work environment and charged them to lead with responsibility and ensure that their subordinates are adequately supported.
Furthermore, he urged the council’s management staff to work in synergy with his office to achieve the administration’s goals.
Hon. Moyosore requested the full support and cooperation of NULGE throughout his tenure, stressing that together, they can build a more effective and people-driven local government.
