The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, joined hundreds of enthusiastic young people at the official celebration of the 2025 International Youth Day, describing the turnout as a remarkable display of unity, and community spirit.
In his address, Hon. Moyosore expressed his joy and appreciation for the overwhelming participation of the youth, noting that this year’s event marks the beginning of what will become a bigger and more impactful annual tradition.
“This celebration brings me joy because it is not only to congratulate our youth, but to celebrate every one of us as we mark International Youth Day. I assure you that by this time next year, this celebration will be even greater. As a young person myself, I share in this moment with you,” he said.
The Chairman reaffirmed his deep connection to the realities faced by young people in the LCDA, acknowledging their struggles, challenges, and resilience. “I identify with your struggles, your challenges, and the way we present ourselves to the world, even when we do not have much. Today is for you, to appreciate you and to tell you that you are doing well.By the special grace of God, we will do even better for you,” he assured.
Hon. Moyosore further pledged his commitment to the growth and empowerment of Onigbongbo youth, declaring, “As a young person in Onigbongbo, I will not disappoint you.”
