In a press release issued today, President Tinubu commended Starmer’s resilience and leadership, citing his steadfastness during his tenure as opposition leader and subsequently as head of the Labour Party.
Tinubu, himself a former opposition leader in Nigeria, highlighted the Labour Party’s strategic reforms and effective mobilization efforts, which paved the way for their electoral success after a span of 14 years. The President underscored this achievement as a testament to Starmer’s exceptional leadership qualities.
Expressing optimism for future collaborations, President Tinubu also conveyed his congratulations to the citizens and government of the United Kingdom, emphasizing the nation’s enduring commitment to democracy and its pivotal partnership with Nigeria.
