After seven years of going off-air, the Gulder Ultimate Search one of the widely watched Nigerian reality TV show will be showing beginning from October 2021.

Starting in the early 2000s, the Gulder Ultimate Search dominated the Nigerian media space, a reality show that focuses on the physical and mental strengths of the participants.

The big show ran for a consecutive 11 seasons, producing big shots from all the seasons ended in 2016. Among the winners of the GUS are Kunle Remi (winner of the 2010 edition), Dennis Okike (Season 8) and Chris Okagbue (Season 10) went on to build a successful career in Nollywood.

Organisers of the reality TV show, Nigerian Breweries (NB) PLC recently announced that the favourite show will be back and better with the theme for the 2021 edition as  â€œThe Age of Craftsmanship’’.

In a statement by the Corporate Affairs Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Sade Morgan, she noted: “We are excited to be bringing back the Gulder Ultimate Search for the viewing pleasure of Nigerians who have over the years continued to call for the return of the show.

She further stated that: “The planning team have put in place everything necessary to give the fans exactly what they enjoy about the show, and I am confident that everyone will be pleasantly surprised and delighted with what we have in store.”

Registration begins on September 1 to September 8, 2021.

Interested participants have to be Nigerians that are between the age of 21-35 years’ old

Shortlisted applicants will undergo a regional selection process in Abuja and Enugu on September 13 and 14, while the selection will take place in Lagos on September 16 and 17, 2021.

The programme will run from October 16 to December 19, when the grand finale will hold.

During the first edition, which premiered in 2004, contestants were camped in different parts of the country to struggle against themselves while searching for the hidden treasure.

The winning prize rose from N3m in the first edition to N10m with an SUV in the last edition.
