The Federal Government, 36 states, and 774 local government councils have shared a total of N1.681 trillion as revenue from the Federation Account for April 2025, marking a 6.5% increase from the N1.578 trillion distributed in March.
This was announced on Friday in a statement by the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Bawa Mokwa.
The allocation was finalized at the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting held in Abuja.
According to the breakdown, the total distributable revenue consisted of N962.88 billion from statutory revenue, N598.08 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), N38.86 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and N81.41 billion from Exchange Difference revenue.
FAAC also reported that gross revenue for April reached N2.848 trillion. From this, N101.05 billion was deducted as the cost of revenue collection, while N1.066 trillion was earmarked for transfers, refunds, interventions, and savings.
Gross statutory revenue rose to N2.085 trillion in April, up by N365.60 billion compared to the N1.719 trillion recorded in March. VAT revenue also saw a modest increase, rising to N642.27 billion from N637.62 billion in the previous month.
