Abeokuta stood still this weekend as the ancient city hosted the final burial ceremonies of the late father of Nollywood icon, Odunlade Adekola. The event, already tagged the “talk of the town”, drew an extraordinary assemblage of Nigeria’s movie royalty, cultural leaders, and well-wishers from across the country.
The ceremonies were not only a celebration of life but also a dazzling showcase of solidarity and style, as Nollywood stars turned out in breathtaking attires that lit up the city. From resplendent lace fabrics to intricately designed Aso Ebi, the event became a runway of culture and fashion, befitting the stature of the Adekola family.
