Five times World Best Footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo has received the Guinness World Record Certificate after breaking the International Goals Record. Cristiano netted his 111th goal during an international fixture between his country, Portugal and Ireland during a World Cup qualifier fixture.

Through this brilliant effort, the Portuguese skipper has broken the erstwhile world record of 109 goals set by Ali Daei’s, the longest in history of international football. He was presented with a Guinness World Record certificate in recognition of his great footballing feat.

He made a last minute comeback for his country, Portugal, who was a down behind Ireland with a brace to end the game with a 2-1 win over the Irish team.

Cristiano Ronaldo has now become men’s international top scorer.
