The Executive Chairman of Bokkos LGA, Mr. Amalau Amalau, confirmed the incident on Monday in Jos, disclosing that the affected communities include Hurti, Bokkos West, Bokkos Central, and Mangol.
Amalau stated that the Primary Health Care Department and the local cottage hospital are working collaboratively to manage the situation and contain further spread.
“Some of the affected persons are currently being treated and are responding well, while others have already been discharged,” he said.
Health authorities are continuing efforts to monitor and control the outbreak, urging residents to maintain proper hygiene and report symptoms promptly.
