Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos State, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo has lost his mother, Alhaja Abebi Zinat Omotonwo. She died in the early morning of Thursday, April 30.
The son of the deceased announced the demise of his mother this morning. According to MC Oluomo, the aged mother who died peacefully in her residence will be buried today in line with Islamic rites at her undisclosed residence.
The secrecy surrounding the burial should be understood in the light of the current Covid 19 induced social distancing order.
According to Akinsanya: “The members of the family however appreciate everyone that has been calling to condole with the family since the news broke out. “We appreciate their concern and use this avenue to inform them that the burial will be attended strictly by family members only. “We appreciate and understand that there are so many people who would have loved to pay their last respect to our late Mother, Alhaja Abebi Zinat Omotonwo but will be unable to do so due to the present ban on large gatherings.
