David Frattesi netted a dramatic 99th-minute winner as Inter Milan edged Barcelona 4-3 in a pulsating UEFA Champions League semi-final clash at the San Siro on Tuesday night, sealing a 7-6 aggregate victory for the Italian side.
The match, which swung back and forth in a breathtaking display of attacking football, saw Inter’s Francesco Acerbi score a crucial stoppage-time equaliser to force extra time after Raphinha had seemingly sent Barcelona into the final with a late strike.
Barcelona had staged a fierce second-half comeback, overturning a 2-0 halftime deficit through goals from Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo, before Raphinha’s finish gave the Spanish side a temporary lead.
However, Frattesi’s extra-time heroics ensured Inter booked their place in the final, sparking wild celebrations at the San Siro.
