Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has carried out an inspection tour of the ongoing Ekeremo–Nooro–Agge Road project, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure across the state.
The inspection, which took place on Saturday, is part of the governor’s regular monitoring of projects aimed at boosting intra-state connectivity, economic development, and access to coastal communities.
Diri, who was accompanied by senior government officials and project engineers, said the road—stretching through difficult terrain—would open up new opportunities for trade, agriculture, and social interaction once completed.
He assured residents that his administration would sustain funding and oversight to ensure timely completion, adding that infrastructure development remains central to his government’s agenda of improving the welfare of Bayelsans.
The Ekeremo–Nooro–Agge Road is one of the flagship road projects designed to link remote riverine areas of the state to the mainland, thereby enhancing mobility, commerce, and security in the region.
