According to sources, there are fears that the new covid-19 Delta variant is fast spreading in the country. In a statistic report uploaded by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), a total number of 206 new cases were recorded, the highest in months. The latest report by NCDC shows an increase from the 146 daily cases bringing the infected cases to about 169,884. The report also shows that no new deaths were recorded. It was recently announced by the Presidential Team against Covid-19 that six states of Federation were at high risk of contracting the spread of the third wave of the Delta Variant of covid-19.
