The first President of the Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA) and renowned painter, Yusuf Adebayo Grillo has died at 87. The sad news of his death was publicly announced by his nephew, Otunba Adebayo Grillo. In his lifetime, Professor Grillo founded the Department of Fine Arts (now School of Art and Design) at the Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) where he trained, mentored and sponsored several artists, many of which are renowned artists today.
