The Federal Government has announced plans to establish Blood Collection Centres in all 774 local government areas, including the Federal Capital Territory, to ensure the availability of blood during medical emergencies and transfusions. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has denied claims that it is responsible for the recent hike in premium motor spirit, commonly called petrol, in the country.
