The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the by-election for the Ganye State Constituency seat in the Adamawa State House of Assembly.
The Returning Officer for the poll, Professor Tukur Ahmed, announced the results in the early hours of Sunday.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the APC candidate, Misa Musa, polled 16,923 votes to edge out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Buba Muhammad Joda, who secured 16,794 votes.
The tightly contested race was held to fill the vacancy created by the death of former lawmaker Abdulmalik Musa in May 2024.
