The Founder and General Overseer of Genesis Global Celestial Church of Christ in Alakuko, Lagos State has slammed a Pre-Action Legal Notice on a group of individuals for their alleged efforts to defame and expose him to public ridicule.
It would be recalled that in recent weeks, there have been a series of celebrated media accusations allegedly sponsored by certain individuals against the renowned cleric and philanthropist. The incessant pillorying has eventually elicited the said notice from the cleric to his said detractors through the auspices of his lawyers, Juryman Associates Chambers, a Lekki-Lagos-based legal firm.
In the notice with the reference number JAC/205/2020, dated 3rd July, 2020 and sub-titled: URGENT FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION, the attention of the following individuals was “Jointly and Severally” called:
- Tunde Adeniyi (Glorious), 26, Ayo Akinyemi Street, Off Egbado Road, Dalemo, Alakuko, Lagos
- Oluwabukola Elizabeth Jesse (Miss Linus), 77, Clayton Street, Mnachester, M11 4HT,
- Prophet Tibetan Elisha Parish,1 to Celestial Way, Ajegunle Bus Stop, Abule-Iroko, Lagos/Abeokuta Express Way, Ogun State,
- Jesuyon. S, Celestial Church of Christ Ketu International Headquartersr,
- Kafayat Bolanle Arinola Lawal, North Carolina, USA,
- Maureen Badejo, +447467859335 maureenbadejoblog@gmail.com, Pause and Ponders,
- Olabisi Elizabeth Itohan Wellington (MummyHannahmayowa), 7, Bramble Croft Erith, DA8 1NX Or 7, Glendale Road, DA8 1BP and others.
In the said Pre-Action Notice generally titled:
“FINAL WARNING AGAINST YOUR SERIAL ACTS OF CONSPIRACY, CIVIL AND CRIMINAL DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER TO WITH SLANDER AND LIBEL, THREATENING VIOLENCE, HARASSMENT, SOCIAL MEDIA/CYBER BULLYING, VIOLATION OF FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS, INTIMIDATION, THREAT TO LIFE, SERIAL ACTS OF TRESPASS AND FALSE ALARM, PROVOCATIVE CONDUCTS LIKELY TO CAUSE BREACH OF PEACE AND FORCEFUL INVASION AND UNLAWFUL BREACH OF PRIVATE LIFE OF PROPHET OGUNDIPE ISREAL OLADELE GENESIS (OUR CLIENT) AND OTHERS”,
the solicitors wrote the above mentioned respondents as follows:
“We are Solicitors to Prophet OGUNDIPE OLADELE ISREAL GENESIS, Founder, Genesis Global Celestial Church of Christ situate at 11/12 DuroIshola Street, off Dalemo Bus Stop, Alakuko, Ogun State and others, hereinafter referred to as “Our Client” on whose strict instruction we write you to desist forthwith your serial acts of conspiracy, civil and criminal defamation of character to wit Libel and slander, threatening violence, harassment, SOCIAL MEDIA/ CYBER BULLYING, violation of fundamental human rights, intimidation, threat to life, serial acts of trespass and false alarm, provocative conducts likely to cause breach of peace and forceful invasion and unlawful breach of private life of our clients at various point in time on your channels and video blog page and other agents/3rd party proxies accordingly.
We are duly conversant with the facts with preponderance of evidences at our disposal issued out by you at different dates and times on your video online blog page/Facebook / Instagram/ and other 3rd party proxies with daily views of over 100,000,000(One Hundred Million) Traffic Base and the public.
We detest your daily serial acts of defamation of character to with slander and libel, cyber bullying as you have put our client’s character, integrity, his life, family, sister; Abosede Otemade, father, mother and his ministry: Genesis Global Celestial Church of Christ into issue, aimed at ridiculing him in the eyes of right thinking members of public and globally, in which your dastard acts has increasingly in the recent time led our client to depression and suffered monumental degradation, mental torture and continuous molestation and sporadic social media/cyber bullying to mention a few from you and your co-accomplices: Bloggers who are renowned for spreading false claims, vulgar abuse, innuendo and penchant lies, are currently escalating the defamatory materials and false news trends on yours and other 3rd party proxies with over 100 million views and traffic video blog page(es) cum social media platforms .
In view of the gravity of the daily unmitigated woes, unbearable pains, subjected agony and blatant violation of our client’s fundamental rights and your aggressive campaign of calumny targeted at ridiculing his integrity and taunting his widely respected integrity and Christian ministry: Global Genesis Celestial Church of Christ, consequently amounting to serial criminal acts of conspiracy, merciless sporadic acts of civil and criminal defamation of character to wit; continuous social media/cyber bullying, threatening violence, harassment, intimidation, malicious intent to raise false alarm, violation of his and other aforementioned victim’s mentioned in your widely published and released defamatory materials(video, pictures, texts, unsubstantiated phone conversations and voice notes) fundamental rights to private and family life, threats to life and serial provocative conducts likely to cause breach of peace to mention a few.
In the same vein and based on verifiable evidence of your acts of gross misconducts and barbaric display of injustice, our client have been subjected to gross torture, molestation and depression, he is inundated with series of calls from friends and families across the world raising concerns over your ill-motivated taint of his integrity before right thinking members of the public, while the trending news of lies, false alarm and deceitful information is beginning to be his source of worry, psychological truama and discomfort, especially a statement of threat particularly credited to Oluwabukola Jesse on her social media page dated 17th June, 2020 around 22.42GMT thus: “Tosin Oladele Ogundipe. I stand with you and your Mum, even if it’s going to cost me my last breath, all Genesis case continues on my Cyberspace tomorrow with proofs. Let’s go there” , and other numerous provocative online posts from others(Maureen Badejo, Jesuyon. S, Tunde Adeniyi (Glorious) and Olabisi Elizabeth Itohan Wellington (MummyHannahmayowa), mentioned herein.
We are aghast to note that you have successfully created a negative media buzz on major online media blogs (Mostly your recruited defiant bloggers) about your frivolous and false allegations of concocted rape scenarios, child abandonment, sexual escapades with various unidentified women and diabolical treacherous activities that cannot be proved or substantiated in any way against our client, and while fanning embers of crises and religious war against the Celestial Christendom and especially our client’s global followers, lovers, family, associates and members of his ministry.
The above statements and other defamatory materials constitutes huge threat of fear of imminent violent attacks and capable of claiming lives and capable of causing unmitigated damages to our client, consequently amounting to criminal act of beach of fundamental rights and violent conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
Unfortunately, be rest assured that we shall nip in the bud your trajectory of horror and woes with end price of securing justice for the innocent man; Prophet OGUNDIPE OLADELE ISREAL GENESIS a renowned philanthropist with a golden heart worthy of emulation and mentorship qualities. His untainted integrity is beyond measure and fault, a civil and law abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Based on the foregoing, I have my Client’s instruction to demand for a LETTER OF APOLOGY to be submitted to our client (via his above address) and further publish in 5 National Newspapers (Punch, Nation, Leadership, Sun and Vanguard with a copy of each submitted at our client’s address, as well as publication and retrieval statement of apology on all your aforementioned social media platforms and blog page(es) just like you published abinitio) and pay the sum of N50 Million naira damages(Severally), upon the receipt of this letter via email, Whatsapp, Facebook or any other means desired collectively.
TAKE NOTICE: Whilst we anticipate your expeditious removal of the aforementioned defamatory contents with immediate effect, instructively on or before Monday, 6th July, 2020, failure of this shall led to instituting strict legal sanctions for redress; both criminally and civil at a court of competent jurisdiction FORTHWITH.
May wise counsel prevail.

The said notice was signed for Juryman Associate Chambers by Aare Oladotun Hassan, Esq., the firm’s Principal Partner while copies were tagged to The Inspector General of Police; the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone ‘2’ Police Command, Onikan, Lagos; the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Police Command, Ogun State; the Directorate of DSS, Ogun State Command, Ogun State; the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State; the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Oke-Mosan, Ogun State and All Media Organizations.
It remains to be seen how the respondents in the said legal notice would react to this very serious issue.
