The Madinah Feeding Committee of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has carried out an inspection of catering facilities contracted to serve Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj.
This was disclosed in a statement on Friday in Abuja by the commission’s Information Officer, Suwaiba Ahmed.
Led by the committee chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Kabir, and accompanied by the NAHCON Advance Team under Madinah Coordinator Alhaji Abdulkadir Oloyin, the team visited seven kitchens designated for the Hajj feeding programme.
According to the statement, the inspection focused on evaluating the readiness of the caterers, with particular attention to hygiene standards, food quality, facility conditions, and the adequacy of kitchen equipment and staff.
The exercise, Ahmed noted, was part of efforts to ensure Nigerian pilgrims receive safe, nutritious, and timely meals throughout the pilgrimage.
