In a recent video encounter a well-known tennis star was captured nursing an apparent injury on her left leg. The athlete revealed that she is a former lawn tennis player who feels abandoned and has faced harsh accusations of being labeled a prostitute by locals. Despite the pressure to return to her country, she identifies strongly as an Igbo lady. Expressing her plea for assistance, she disclosed plans to return to her village the following day to attend to her daughter’s needs.
The Lagosian Magazine can report that the Governor of Anambra state, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has stepped in to rescue Tanya Okpala, a former Nigerian tennis star from the 1990s, who was discovered wandering the streets of Akwa in a distressed state. In a viral video, the mentally unstable Okpala revealed her struggles and appealed for help, expressing her desire to return to her village to care for her daughter. Governor Soludo assured on Twitter that Okpala is now in the custody of the Anambra State Government, pledging immediate rehabilitation and reintegration with her family for a fruitful reunion.
